Small Cigar Humidity Question

G'morning All (at least it's morning here),
With cold weather coming and limited smoking time available, I bought a tin of Cohibal cigarillos (http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/s...cfm/inum/18429) for short smokes.

Am I correct to assume they should be kept in my humidor just like larger cigars? And if so, should they be left in the tin, or put in the humi individually? Thanks as always for your insights.

I always just put the whole tin in the humidor.

This works just fine. i have a couple of tins that have been in my humi for years and they are doing great. BTW the Funte cigarillos get really good with a year or so on them!

JeffB, welcome to the jungle.

I toss the tin into my humi after removing the outer cello. It's always worked just fine for me.

Re: Small Cigar Humidity Question

talking with our local Ashton Rep, he said that many of these small tins/boxes are made with dry aged tobacco, and they wouldn't have to be humidified - but it wouldn't hurt them either

I still keep my tins in the humi

Re: Small Cigar Humidity Question

It's best practice to keep what ever cigar you purchase in the original packaging.

Why do you say that? Do you think the metallic tin is a key component in the way the cigar reacts to its surroundings?

For protections sake, and not chasing around smaller smokes on a tray, yes, I would agree, but leaving them in the cardboard packet or tin wouldn't make any difference to me at all other than that.
