i was simply saying that an unwrapped cigar runs a higher risk of splitting the wrapper at the foot of the cigar

I find that cello'ed cigars are easier to transport than non-cello'ed cigars. I just put the protected cigar in my shirt pocket and off I go. If the cigar is sans-cello, I put it in a plastic baggy. As for my humidor preference, a dry stick with cello will take longer to rehumidify, but a well maintained cigar in cello will take longer to dehumidify. Something to think about when grabbing cigars for a long trip.

great point Paul, the cello will preserve a ciger longer that is kept well.

Great point!

Re: Wrapped Cigars In A Humidor?

I leave mine in the cello for protection. I don't want to ruin the wrapper when I move them around looking for a stick.

I do like the look of naked sticks in a humidor, though.
