La Flor Dominicana Factory Press?

Has anyone had one of these? I stopped by my local B&M and asked the guy at the desk for something really special. This is what he gave me. I swear it took me 40 days and 40 nights to finish smoking this thing. I may be new to this but wow that was a huge cigar. Anyone have any thoughts on this cigar as I have no real idea of how nice it was.

Welcome to the jungle . Did you nub the cigar ? Do you want another one ? If you answer yes to these 2 question then you probably liked it alot . These aren't cheap . What did you pay for it ?

The cigar shop is actually located right next to one of the largest and most expensive neighborhoods in Baton Rouge so I think they may be a little overpriced; however, I told him I wanted something special as we were going to my recently deceased father-in-law (well not yet but he was my fiance's father and a close friend to me) grave. He ended up selling to me for maybe 13 bucks, so probably MSRP. And yes it wasn't bad, maybe a little strong for a beginner but I'll definately try to grab another one when I build myself up.

That price sounds pretty good , I've seen them in 2 B&M's for $15.00 each with "Don't touch , ask for help" signs on them . Sounds like I might have to get a couple . You might want to try a Cuesta-Rey Pyramid Stanfords Reserve Cameroon edition , if you happen to see them , real nice smoke .

Ya these were actually in the back room of the humidor room. My girlfriend's cousin grabbed one also. I don't think we were truelly prepared for them but had a great experience none-the-less. I will pick one up next month if they have any left.

$12.50 at my local. It looks like a manly mans-man cigar.

They're $14.45 at my B&M, they have lots of 'em, and they're serve-yourself... no professional cigar handler assitance needed. But I think it'll be a while before I smoke it. Based on the ass-kicking I took smoking the LFD Double Ligero Maduro Chisel I had last week, I'm not in a hurry.

FWIW... I've found that the larger sticks can't be appreciated unless you have TIME, and plenty of it!

I try to resist the temptation to rush them... Let them "breathe" in the tray... And they seem to repay me in flavor.

lol - yeah, i was gonna throw my two bits in, to the original poster, and mention the LFD Chisel as another good smoke for him to try (i will ALWAYS give this cigar a plug!).

i'd really like to get my hands on a stick or two of the factory press - they don't seem to have made their way to Nashville...

They really are a handsome looking cigar - humidor candy, for sure.

I really liked these bad boys. A wonderful cedary flavour with pepper and hints of leather (sorry for sounding like CA). A darn nice cigar and worth $12.50 that i payed for them on CI.

I picked one up last night myself. I paid 14 abd change. Just be careful pulling them from their press. The B&M owner showed me a good way to do it, which is lifting the tray and pushing it out from behind. Have not smoked it yet but had 2 of the LFD Chiselito Maduros instead. Found out the Chisels Maduros are on back order.

I tried my first one a few weeks ago. About $12.50 at my B&M and it was a helluva good smoke, but took about two hours to finish it down to a nub.
