Re: Dessert Cigar: Help me find a good one
I like the Sherpas... Just found them a few weeks ago and really enjoy them after a meal. My favorite is the Perdomo white label. All sorts of sizes (I prefer the churchill). Slight hint of vanilla/sweetness. Great construction, burn and flavor.
I find them a very relaxing smoke. ![]() |

I agree that the Sherpas are nice... But if you're game for a darker maduro, you might try a fiver of the El Mejor Espresso robustos.
I handed one to a friend last night after a large dinner, as we broke out the cards for some poker... He swore it was the best he's ever had, andit was still on the green side! Burn was even, and he couldn't put it down! For under $2 a stick, it may be a worthy consideration. |

Assuming we're talking about NCs here - for the mild smoke, you may want to try CAO Golds (pick your size) or AVO Classic line (pick your size). for that spicier smoke, check out La Flor Dominicana, Joya de Nicaragua or Padron...

Avo's are good, as well as Davidoff's or AF Hemingways.

Re: Dessert Cigar: Help me find a good one
If you are willing to branch to a Camaroon wrapper (some hate them, others - like me - really enjoy them), I really like the flavor of the Ashton Heritage Puro Sol. Great aroma. Medium bodied but very smooth. You might be able to call it "creamy" although I'm not sure exactly what that means.
Also, the wrapper as a slight sweetness to it that was very nice. From a fuller-bodied, spicier flavor I like the Dunhill Signed Range. It's got some body with a slight spice but it's certainly not overpowering. Also a natural wrapper so that might work. On line, you can find both of these for about $8 or so. A little more expensive in local shops. |

Re: Dessert Cigar: Help me find a good one
I recommend the Fonseca Vintage. Great cigar.
The wrapper is a gorgeous tawny brown. No soft spots and impeccable construction.Prelight aroma was delightful. Easy light. Even burn. Smooth draw. Tight white ash that held for 2 inches with voluminous billowy smoke. Started with mild leather and pepper, and quickly transitioned into strong cedar and a hint of toast that was maintained the length of the cigar. The one drawback is that some could call it "one-dimensional", as the flavor profile didn't change much for me down the whole stick, but at least to my taste, this was not an issue. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, and at the end of 40 minutes when it was almost nubbed, it left me wanting for more - always a good sign.
