Cupido Criollo?

I rcvd a new Cuban Crafters catalog the other day & noticed that the Cupido Criollo line has returned.

Is this a new development, or as usual, am I a day late & a dollar short?

For those of you who may not remember...Cupido Criollo was a very nice, & very flavorful, medium bodied cigar from Cuban Crafters.

Has anyone with memories of the old blend tried the new incarnation? If so, is it as good?

I believe they reappeared a few months ago, but not sure exactly when - so pretty recent. I have seen a review of them on Stogie Guys, if you are interested in reading their opinion.
If you get some, would like to know what you think. I don't have much experience with Criollo leaf and zero with Cuban Crafters - although I did just order some of the Don Kiki browns.

Well it isn't the first time a Don Kiki cigar has been re-incarnated, *cough* 5-Vegas *cough*

I'm pretty sure that the 5 Vegas label is owned by Cigars International & their affiliates, so there are any number of 5 Vegas labels, most of which don't have anything at all to do with Kiki. The Red label is Kiki's blend, but isn't sold by Cuban Crafters...I don't recall it ever being out of production. If it has been, please enlighten us.

5 Vegas was purchased by Keith Meyers (Owner of CI) from Cuban Crafters. 5 Vegas had a 91 Rating on one of their cigars when it was made by Don Kiki. During the collapse of the cigar boom just about everything was up for liquidation. Even cigar names. 5 Vegas was a name with a high rating and an example of such.

I follow. Who's making the cigar for CI now? I don't smoke the red label any longer, but remember the corona as being a pretty decent mild/medium cigar.

If you smoke the Don Kiki Browns, you unknowingly are familiar with Criollo Leaf, as the Browns are all made from Cuban Seed Criollo Leaf.
