not anything i've never done. I've heard of people wetting a side that burning too fast to correct a burn, but not as a prevention.
Good storage provides you with a good burn in my opinion. I've had problems with cigars that are over-humidified staying lit.

Personally I let bury my cigars in the snow and then search for them when I want one. Not only do you get this wonderful sense of accomplishment when you find it and have frost bite, but you get a cigar that is soaked, which of course means it will burn perfect and give off oodles of smoke.
