Prefered NCs for ISOM smokers

I did a search and found a couple threads from people asking which NC taste the most like ISOMs. I'm not really interested in the answers to that question because I know there's really nothing quite like an ISOM and each countries tobacco has its own characteristics.

I'm looking for what NC are preferred by those who primarily (or at least prefer to) smoke ISOMs. Are there any that you really like that you fall back on when you're short on ISOMs (or the ones you have need to spend more time in the humi)? What is it about them that keeps you going back even after your ISOM switch?

Re: Prefered NCs for ISOM smokers

I still smoke AF chateau Sun growns, Padron 6000 mad, some Camacho, AF Don Carlos, Tatuaje and some others.

I smoke non-cubans, not because I like them better, but because of money. I really want to age the stock I have. I'd prefer not to smoke any cubans with less than 2 years of age and really want to get to the point where I am smoking them with 5 years+. The only way I can do this is to not smoke them. I will try '05s and '04s to get a feel for them and see what I like and guage aging potential.

Don't get me wrong it is not like I don't like these cigars just that I prefer cubans.

My local B&M (the one closest to my work) actually has Unicos, Regios, and Noellas. They're a bit expensive (except for the Noellas, but they're pretty small) for me right now since I'm just getting started. Maybe once I get a humidor (or at least a tupperdor), I'll grab a couple since they're so hard to find.

I smoke NC's because I like the flavor of them equally. Sometimes you're in the mood for Chinese, sometimes Italian... a bottle of red... a bottle of white...

Re: Prefered NCs for ISOM smokers

My main smokes that are non-ISOM are made up of RP Edge Maduro torps, Camacho Corojo, LGC Serie R #5, JdN Antono, PAM 64's, Fuente Sungrown Cuban Beli's and Ashton VSG's on ocassion. I like smokes that have the delicate balance of both flavor and power.
