Cullman Cigars

Visited my local cigar shop over lunch and was given a Cullman robusto as a gift for continued patronage. They said that the cigars were pretty new and hadn't hit broad distribution as yet. They also suggested that if I like the VSG, I'm likely to enjoy this one (would probably need to because it looked like it retailed for about $10).

Anybody seen or tried any of these yet? Not in the Top 25 database as far as I could tell and didn't pop up on the ratings for cA, either.

Love finding hidden treasures as long as they don't remind me of something in my yard when I smoke them.

You had me at VSG. Never heard of Cullman, but if there's a similarity there, I'm sure I'll like it. PLEASE post a review.

Re: Cullman Cigars

I will post a review. The robusto size was about $10. Not significantly different in price than the VSG Illusion. To me, in that price range, it's going to have to be pretty good because there are a lot of great cigars to choose from.

I'm looking forward to it. Have heard that it's got a big flavor but is very smooth. We'll see.

Sounds like this may be one of those up-and-coming boutique brands, kinda' like the Nerdman Maduros Especialos.

Let us know how it smokes!!!

This brand is being produced by THE Cullmans who used to own General cigar. The family really didn't want out of the business and it is my understanding that they never thought Swedish Match would ever excercise it's option to complete a buyout, which it did last year. So, it makes sense to see the Cullmans right back in the business. If I can find out more from the industry I will post info.

Avo's 80th Birthday Bash...

Certainly, 2006 has begun as one of the most exciting years in memory for local “world class” cigar events. We began the year with two world releases back to back. In January we brought in Eric Stokkebye to release his La Flor de Ynclan and in February the Cullman family visited the Carolinas for the world premier of the Cullman Signature Selection. It only gets better in March!
