The only consistant problem I see with the regular Padron line is bad caps. I love them Pretty much everytime I light-up a cigar I dont enjoy, I put it out, and go smoke a Padron 2000 because I know what I am getting out if it, and I know I am going to enjoy it.

I just asked, and she doesn't know..

As for the Fuma's, I think their and excellent value. Padron flavor at a good every day smoke price. But they tend to get better with age, as most smokes. I prefer the Miami fuma's over the national line. You can only get the Miami's there. Hope this helps..

I don't consider it at all blasphemy. I find the Padron and the Punch to be similar in both quality and flavor. I avoided the Padron line for a long time since I tend to shy away from anything that is hyped. Too much disasppointment in the past. I ended up relenting and purchasing some Padron 2000's when a local B&M ran out of Punch cigars. I was well pleased with the flavor and performance of the 2000's, and now I keep these and the 3000's in my humidor along with the Punch and Montecristos I usually smoke.

BTW - I find the Anny 64's to be overhyped, not because they are bad, but because I find the regular line of Padrons to be just as good but less than half the price.

Re: Do Padron Lovers See Quality Crash?

It's funny that I read this thread. I just moments ago got done with a Padron Maduro 2000 which is pretty much my go to smoke. I've been smoking from a box of them that I bought a couple of weeks ago. So far they all have been great, taste, construction draw and everything. Until today, the one that I just finished with had a great construction looked beatiful smelled great but that was where it ended. The draw was ridiculously tight, almost plugged and the taste was horrible, like dried . I let it die so I could open it and I found the problem. I peeled off the wrapper and got underneath the binder and found tons of little scrap leaf, almost looked like short filler, with a big clump of it in the middle which had been causing my jaw killing draw. I don't know what happened but with any mass hand produced item things can slip by. I am guessing that a roller had a bad day and this one sneaked its way by.
