Olor Fuerte?
Me and my roomie are having a debate about the Olor Fuerte. He seems to think that it is more like a Thompson and I disagree on that. It seems to me like its better even though it smells similar. Just wondering what everyone else thinks about this.

Re: Olor Fuerte?
Smoke an Astral Talanga Valley Selection & then smoke an Olor Fuerte. One is box pressed & the other isn't. Other than that, I think they are quite a similar blend.
I find many Famous house brands to be quite acceptable in quality & wouldn't even attempt to try to navigate the minefield that makes up the Thompson arsenal of brands. Just my ![]()

Re: Olor Fuerte?
You have named a specific Famous house brand in Olor Fuerte. Thompson has more brands than a dog has fleas......I have only smoked a few of them. Which Thompson are you talking about?

Re: Olor Fuerte?
Try the Nicaraguan 3000 at Famous.......$35-40 a bundle. You won't be disappointed.
I would stay away from the Thompson. JMHO.

Re: Olor Fuerte?
Never had a Thompson, but I bought a 5 pack of the Olor Fuerte's. I had the first one the other day. Not a bad smoke IMO. The wrapper wanted to unwrap after I cut it. A medium strength, with a creamy flavor if I remember correctly.

Manolete, Dona Ines and Tusker. They are each better than decent smokes. The Barlovento is a dog rocket.
