Yes but is the "X" said in English or in Spanish? I would think that since the company is hispanic the X would be pronounced in Spanish as Opus "Equis"

X as in English...Opus X ("ecks" in case you would like to see it phoenetically)...

Actually I wasnt spelling anything phonetically. "Equis" is how you would spell the letter "x" if you were refering to the actual letter in spanish, but thank you for the clarification.

English.
Carlito talks about how it sounds like "sex" on one of the documentary dvds from a forbidden x set.

Both are correct, but they are damn good cigars, no matter how you pronounce it.

why do you say you can spell a letter in spanish, but not in english?
"equis" and "ecks" are both just words for the purpose of being able to spell pronunciation of a single letter...

Oh no doubt. Don't get me wrong Skip, I like them a lot. It's just the price. I've seen them sell for more than Taboadas

because "equis" is the proper spelling for the word/letter "x" in spanish. I have never heard anyone write that "ecks" marks the spot. When writing the actual name of the letter "x" it is written "equis" and I have never heard of an english equivalent for writing "x"

But the name of the cigar is in English, and you're going on a bit too much about this...you asked how it was pronounced and we told you...
