I use a straight razor blade, lay the cigar on the table and cut it with the razor blade, and I find that it works better than the cheap plastic cutters Ive sadly gotten used to. That being said, I have two Xikar's on the way

Okay, gave the knife a try Sat. night. It wasn't pretty, tried it on two of cigars. I guess, I shouldn't have tried it in the dark. Being I was at Boy Scout camp all weekend, where you are not allowed to smoke. A buddy abd I snuck off and smoked a cigar. Made do with the tools we had on hand. They were still smokable after wards, I guess is what matters. After dealing with 40 hyper boys, I needed that smoke.
