I agree with Gary. They are a decent cigar. Good price for sure. The marketing was very good and Sam seems to be a very nice guy. Don't expect to be amazed though. They are just a good solid 87-90 cigar imho. I think I expected too much due to all the hype that was drummed up prior to their release. They're good, just not the revolution they were touted as.

No offense to Sam or the strong Nub following on the board. It just didn't wow me. To each his own

I've liked them so far. I'm a little biased now. I'm a finalist for the NUb Mini Cooper. I have a 1 in 56 shot at it. The odds aren't too bad. It could happen.

I've go a nub that Sam rolled for me. I'm saving that one!

I personally love the habano and the conn, but thats just my opinion. members can't be nervous about a negative opinion on a sponser. Just as long as you do it in a respectful way. (as you did in your post)

Thanks for the support Jim! I definitely thought twice about posting anything less than glowing about the Nub due to the tight affiliation between the product and our forum. But it would be sad if we couldn't tastefully let our opinions be known for fear of going against the grain. I figure that is the beauty of this board. We can be out there, open, completely honest without being persecuted for it as long as we present our opinions with class.

I like em for a couple reasons. The Habano and Camaroon have a great spiciness that I enjoy, the size is convenient for my smoking time about 45-60 minutes and they are a conversation piece, they are interesting to talk about.

Sam Leccia told a few of us this at a Nub event at my local B&M. It'll be called The Mad Nub. I believe this is one of the things we were allowed to quote him on. There was plenty of good stuff we were politely asked not to post by him. Anyways the Nub's are great smokes, not extremely complex but as someone else said to me, there is something to be said about just tasting damn good from start to finish. My personal fave is the Cameroon 466 BPT(Box Pressed Torpedo), I have a box of these signed by Sam. I also have 2 custom rolled Nubs, one barber pole(habano and conn wrappers) and one Conneticut with a lot more ligero filler than normal, that are being saved for a special occasion. Its a great concept, a great cigar and a great guy behind the whole thing. If a Nub event comes through your town its a must attend event trust me.

45-60 mins? Really?. Geez from the pics I see, I figured they'd be a shorter burn than that. Nobody here knows about them, and I'm just not sure which to get or where to get, but that time frame would fit in PERFECTLY for me on the golf course! I hate taking out a 2hr smoke and then having to relight it later. just doesn't seem to taste the same. I like a smoke on a few holes, then a little later in the game.
These sound promising, just have to figure out what/where. I get in trouble at Cbid, but maybe they have a 5'r on there.......

Once you try one, Shawn, you'll see why so many people enjoy the Nubs. The draw is flawless and the taste, especially the Cameroon Nub, is delicious.

Thanks for all that you do for our country.

Be well,
Don

I'm waiting for a sampler that a mate's bringing from the U.S., because I started with that same doubt only to find out they sounded quite neat. I'll be sure to let ye know.
