Gurkha Cigars

Hey guys, I've recently started smoking "big boy" cigars and one of my friends gave me a Gurkha. It was flat out amazing! When i went to my local cigar shop I asked the owner if he had any Gurkha's and he looked at me with a very confused stare. I was wondering if you gentlemen could point me in the right direction on where to find some quality Gurkha's to stock up on? Thanks a lot.

I am not personally a Gurkha fan, however many around here are.

I don't believe I've ever seen them in a Brick and Mortar, but I do know you can get them on several online retailers....

depends on the retailer.. I've seen a few B&M's in my area that carry Gurkha.. I'm a little surprised, whether they carry it or not, that they didn't even know what it was.. I would find a new shop.

Run do not walk to C-Bid as they have some great deals on the big boys.

The Gurkhas on CBid, and there are a myriad of them, are a mixed bag, so you may want to read a few reviews on each stick to get a feel for what you're looking for first.

The Gurkha frontmarks that you'll find in the B&Ms are usually the better ones, and thus will cost more than many of the ones on CBid.

P.S. Even though they were made for Gurkha by Torano, the Sherpa cigars are shite.

I buy my Gurkhas at Cigars International or JR Cigars. CI is definately the place to go first. They have the best prices and run a lot of specials on them. Also check their "make me an offer" section. I picked up 20 Nepalese Warriors for $39 recently. Great price.

CI's most recent catalogue had more than a few Gurkha samplers you need to get up on! Make sure to get more than a handful of the Nepalese Warrior.

Another good place for Gurkha is Cheaphumidors (.com). Dave normally sends out 10-15% off coupons if you sign up for the newsletter and they can be used on cigars.

I would definitely recommend Cbid for gurkhas. They are very cheap there. A few that I like are:

Black Puro
Nepalese Warrior
Centurian perfecto
Ancient Warrior

If your B&M had no idea what Ghurka cigars are you might have to find a new B&M. I'm not a veteran of premium cigars but I know what a Ghurka cigar is. They need to go back to cigar school and catch up on their studies.

You might want to try some sort of a Ghurka sampler from CI or Cbid. They make so many blends that you will get confused what they make. Some of which are good and bad but i would not invest anymore than a fiver if you have not tried them before.
