Advice for the newbie?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a couple suggestions to keep my humidor filled.

So far I have thoroughly enjoyed a few Rockey Patel Sun Growns, RP 1990 Reserve, and a RP Connecticut. Also I liked the Gurkha g5 and g3s I've had, as well as a Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro.

If anyone has any suggestions for other cigars for me to try, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

just take a skim through the cigar reviews section, or the bargain cigars section.

you've def got a good start with the rockys and gurkhas. as well as most romeo and julietas

heres a few more brands that tend to get a good rap around here
ashton
avo
cao
arturo fuente
nubs
davidoff

I have personally never been disappointed with any Gurkha I have ever had! Logan gives a good list to really dive in to some great top brands.

My Favorite Gurkha this far would have to be the Royal Brigade, you can get a bunch for a steal off of CI. I also recommend an Ashton VSG, you can never go wrong with one of these bad boys!

Just what u have listed are some great cigars,,,all of which I keep in my humis. Just pick up a 5 pak every now and then to keep your tastes moving forward,,experiment as your tastes will change from time to time. Try not to smoke them all in the same week,,,age a few as the tastes will change and become better, esp. with the ones you like already.

Try the Padron x000 series. They are extremely affordable and you'll be amazed at how far the $4.50 you just spent goes. As far as affordable sticks go, I wouldn't smoke any other. BTW....the 2000 is my fave...

5 Vegas Series A, Vigilante, Gurkha Double Maduro all are reasonably priced maduros that I like. I also second any Padron maduro.

Cigarbid and CI have some great samplers on sale all the time, that would be a great place to get some variety or just go to your local b&m and pick out a few sticks that you may read about on this forum.

The best advice I can give isn't necessarily about which cigars to try as that is subjective, but this is my best advice:

1) Get a humidor that is 2-3 times the size that you think you will need. Trust me on this.

2) Call your credit card company as ask for a credit limit increase. Trust me on this one too....you'll need it.

3) Bombing. Do it, do it hard and do it without mercy. Lay waste and devistaion on as many people as you can afford to do. Be careful of retailitory fire...it can be brutal.

Try all this, but be very careful with Cigarbid aka Devil Site that place is nothing but trouble.

Can't go wrong with a Rocky Patel or a Camacho cigar. Or any CAO for that matter.
