Re: LFD chisel shape, how to cut?

you can cut it, pinch it or some people punch a hole in the top and bottom of the tip and smoke it that way.

I have seen some people V-cut it too but the easiest way is to snap it or cut it.

You can punch it just before the tip, OR you can pop the tip open with two fingers. Hell, I've cut 'em, too.

How can you get more flavor by punching the top? My understanding would suggest that you should get the same amount of flavor no matter how you cut, punch, or squeze...........

I have always used a cutter. Never had one unravel yet.

Re: LFD chisel shape, how to cut?

IMHO you can not go wrong with LFD if you want a cigar that is full strength and full flavored.

Re: LFD chisel shape, how to cut?

I use a regular cutter. You can pinch it if you don't have anything to cut/punch it with.

The smoke hits your palate directly, try it

Re: LFD chisel shape, how to cut?

A quick google consensus indicates that using a punch is the favored method.

Re: LFD chisel shape, how to cut?

When they first came out I think most used a punch on the top of it, as stated above it hit the top of your palate. But it was made so that you can smoke it without a cutter or punch. Just pinch the head together and the cap pops off. Try it.
