Putting Extra Cedar to Good Use

Would love to hear what you guys do with the stuff.
From the wacky to the very personal to the sensible, please share your uses of extra cedar that comes with your smokes.

The Paper Thin pieces of Cedar.
The Big Chunks of Cedar.

And a quick question about something I am doing.
A member suggested that I could increase circulation around cigars by laying down some paper thin pieces of wood between each layer of sticks.
If I use Cedar for this - Is that a problem?
I guess I am thinking that cedar may somehow dry the sticks out more. Seems unlikely but I would like to hear thoughts.

I break up the thin pieces and use them to light my sticks. The larger pieces I end up whittling on until they are something cool, or until they're gone.

As for increasing air circulation in your desktop, it's too small a volume to really worry about it. All it does it take up valuable space that could be occupied by more cigars.

I use the thin pieces of cedar to light my cigars with. Since they are solid I don't see how placing them between the cigar layers would help in circulation. Only having space between them could help in that but if your humidor is like most peoples in that it's a desktop circulation really isn't a factor anyway.

I put the thin strips in my coolerdors along with the boxes. Keeps it smelling like a humidor should...

I was watching National Geographic with the girlfriend yesterday and we saw this happen.
A Hyena vomited up a bunch of...Vomit looking like Nasty nasty thick goo. Then, she proceeded to roll around in it. Kneeling down, moving onto its back, positioning herself over it and rubbing it into her fur nice and good.
The Male Hyenas went craaazzzZZZy over it.

I always get wood over the chicks that do that.


Anyway, the cedar thing, I use thin pieces as dividers in desktop humi. I use boxes for storage in my Cooerdor, but don't break them up. I do have a couple of small but thick planks in the bottom of my coolerdor--I have my heartfelt beads resting on a piece.

I too, break them into strips for the occasional cigar lighter. But I also use them to line my Otterbox.

i leave em in the humidor cos i love the smell of cedar, gives the humidor a kinda seasoned feel to it... thats my opinion anyway
