Or start buying smaller sticks!

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

I'll only re-light one if it goes out by itself while I'm smoking it, such as if I put it down to go get a drink or something. In the past I've found that actually putting it our and re-lighting gives it a bitter taste on the second go. That's why if I know I don't have much time but still want to smoke I'll either have a smaller stick or an inexpensive one.

Only Gurkha's should be allowed to die out and then be re-light and smoked. Many would agree it improves there taste, this wont happen with most cigars just Gurkha's..

I'll only relight if it just went out on me or I was talking and not paying attention and it went out. I don't think I've ever lit a relit a cigar that's been out more than 5 min.

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

I did it once. I left it overnight and re-lit it the next evening. It was horrible. I shall never do that again if I can help it.

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

Ok, along the same theme... If your cigar goes out while smoking what is the best way to relight?

I have knocked off the majority of the ash and relit through the remaining ash, and also have used the cutter, chopped off just below the burn line and relit.

Is there a "right" way to do it? Which way minimizes the burnt taste?
