Not recommended but if you do, make sure you purge the smoke. Let it go out by itself and blow into it several times then cut. I've done this when I'm at work and short on time. The taste is not the same though when you relight.

I don't do it, just because I can't stand the taste.

Ditto this and only do it with cigars that aren't all that expensive. If you are going to pay $10 and up my advice is to finish it.

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

Yeah I dont ever try for a quick smoke anymore. I just dont light one unless I have at least an hour to kill. Once I have one lit.....i dont stop smoking it until its gone! So you better be on fire if you want me to drop my cigar to help you....and im not talkin a pant leg burnin...Im talking full on stunt man engulfed in flames before i drop my stogie to help you!!!

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

I'm with slyder on this, if something comes up that I can't finish a cigar than it was to important to worry about finishing it. If I know that I might get interupted I will take one of my cheaper cigars but if I am smoking on that I have been looking forward to I make sure I have enough time to finish it before I start.

I dont like the smell that they give off when you do this, it makes me lose my appetite for a cigar.

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

Reminds when I was young man had too much of the grape-
I used to smoke like a chimney-woke up in the morning & I swear to God someone poured the contents of my over filled ashtray right down my throat.
I have re-lit a lot of sticks but generally it was as soon as possible after they went out. Never overnight.

Re: Re-fry a cigar no no?

I agree with everyone here...I did this once when I started out and the taste was horrible to me. Now I just don't light up if I know I won't have the time.
