Look elsewhere. Thompson is a well known purveyor of dog rockets.

Yea.....I went over to a clients house and he handed me a couple of cigars from Thompson. I took them because hey they were free...one was not half bad...ok maybe less. The other one I took out of the cello and that thing STINKS!!!!

Re: Thompson Cigars??

I tried that brand along time ago and just as the other brothers have said Thompson brand cigars are no better than drug store cigars.

Re: Thompson Cigars??

I suspect a company can't stay in business if ALL the word of mouth is as bad as I've read here. For some, who are a little more astute about cigars, maybe the word is "stay away", but for some of us less informed, some are not bad. I have tried their "Unigues" and find them a decent smoke. And, for $0.70 a piece? Pretty tolerable. But, they will likely mail catalogs and email you (maybe even call you) for the rest of your life.

I've NEVER heard any good things about anything that comes from Thompson's.

I've heard that JR's sticks are 100 times better....

Don't buy sticks from Thompson. They do have good humidors, though.

Hey Bro, I have tried just about all of the cigar brands that you are asking about and in my opinion they are all a good cigar to smoke, the only one I haven't tried is the Belmondo and I have five sticks on back order right now so I can try them.

I have the rest of the brands right now in my humidor and enjoy all of them.

You may hear a lot of bad things about the Thompson cigar and their company but I for one have never had any trouble with them or their brand of cigars that come from them.

Plus I have picked up a lot of well known brands from them a lot cheaper then a lot of the other mail order stores on the web.

There are a lot of people out there that have had problems with the store but I have not and I have been dealing with them for the past three years or more without any problems at all.

Re: Thompson Cigars??

Ummm,

You cant talk about Thompson without mentioning "Cigars international", "Holts", and "Famous". Keep these other three in your pocket if you insist on dealing with Thompson. You`ll want to know where to go after you get done with Thompson, or after Thompson gets done with you,

Best regards.

Re: Thompson Cigars??

Well I have to tell you I have done business with Cigar International already and Cigar.com , Tampa Humidor , Cigar Fox, Cheap Humidor.com and some of the other cigar stores out there, but as long as I keep getting my smokes at the great prices I pay at Thompson Cigar then I will stay loyal to them.

I have been doing business with Thompson Cigar for almost four years now and have never had any trouble with them, and as long as they keep treating me with the respect they have been and I keep paying the low prices for my cigars, then I will continue to do business with them.

Now that is not to say I won't buy a box or two from another store that has a good price on the smokes I enjoy, but for the most part if I can keep my 1500 cigar humidor full and the other 11 humidors I have full of good smokes for the low prices I have been paying, then there is no sense running off to another store for all of my cigar business.

Everyone has there own idea of what a good store and a good price is for there smokes, for me Thompson is what I can afford and therefor it is the store I will stay with until they do something super wrong to me to lose my business.
