Re: Distilled water

Any grocery store - not to be confused with mineral laden "spring" water (or Gatorade).

I know a vendor that has 5 gallon containers of the '03 for $5.

Anyone want to do a split?

Re: Distilled water

Ya'know...I heard the '06 is quite nice. I picked up a gallon at the local grocer and plan on aging it for a while. It should do well over time. We'll see if this vintage amounts to anything special.

On a side note, is a shot glass in a tupperware going to provide a good source of humidity? I'm weighing my options for a humidification device (beads, gels, other...) and I just need something to hold me over for a while. I have a ten pack of Cremosa's coming in ( YES, I'm a newbie and I bid on some cremosa's....please refrain from flaming) and I want to store them properly (I know it's not worth it but I'm having fun). I've heard of sponges but that seems like mildew heaven. Anyway, I didn't mean for this post to drag so long so....So long!

Question? What happens when you knock that shot glass over by mistake? While you are thinking things over - a damp sponge (distilled water) in an open ziplock bag will do just fine. If you have a local B&M - you could pick up a bottle of 50/50 (aka 70/70) solution to use on the sponge first.

But for your long term - stop wieghing options and just get the beads. Extremely easy to use and they don't wear out. For the price - they just can't be beat.
