Hick Ups!
Is it just me, or does anyone else get the hick ups every now and then when you are smoking your cigar?

I'm sure it's because I'm smoking too fast and not drinking enough liquid.

I can feel them coming and most of the time I can slow down and drink more to stop it, but sometimes... there they are.

Just wondering.

Yes this does happen to me. Almost every time, but it passes very quickly. I am a slow smoker, not sure why this happens?

Nicotine causes hiccups. Smoking too rapidly can also cause it either from excessive nicotine or excessive air injestion. Smoke milder cigars or work to build up your nicotine tolerance by smoking more.

hmmm, I was wondering if it could be from taking small puffs on the cigar and so even when you are not puffing on the cigar you are taking shallow breaths. Maybe try watching your breathing habits and see if this fits?

One of the best ways to stop hiccups for me is to take a very deep breath so maybe related?

I thought I was the only one who got Hiccups when smoking cigars. It mostly happens to me at the end of the cigar, and if it's spicy.

So not only do I spit..I hiccup as well..lol
