Re: cigars an golf

My golf game sucks so I usually concentrate on a good smoke. Makes a bad round that much more enjoyable. Oh, and a little Bourbon to use as we call "aiming fluid"

I often smoke on the course but I must admit It's not usually a great smoking experience. I find the cigar doesn't burm very well on the course. Usually too windy!

I smoke my cheaper stuff on the course, they don't always survive the wind and conditions. I play 3 times a week or so...

I completely agree!!! My buddy & me were just talking about this the other day. No more $10-12 sticks on the course!!! You just can't enjoy them... They burn out, you leave them 250 yards back, your buddy runs it over with the cart, it's windy, your constantly touching it up, whatever...

It's Quorums for me out there from now on.

O.K., Maybe not Quorums... But Don Tomas

Re: cigars an golf

If you play golf, you have to smoke a cigar. I go out every week with about 7 others, so we usually just all split a box, and rotate each week. Works out pretty well.

Re: cigars an golf

Although it sounds like a great opportunity to have a smoke, I've tried it a couple of times and just can't get the hang of it. The cigar goes out, burns badly because of being layed (laid?) on the ground, wind, etc. Just doen't work for me so far, but I'll try it again.

Re: cigars an golf

Always take a bunch of good cigars with me on the course. My golf game stinks so I may as well enjoy a good smoke!

Re: cigars an golf

Another thing I just remembered...

The CAO LX2 is a great golf cigar due to its great, firm construction. They taste great and seem to stand up well to the rigors of a round of golf.
