Is it an Oxymoron?

Have you have noticed that it's always referred to as "Winning" a fiver or box from the Devil site. If you are a really big winner at this game, you can't afford your mortgage, your car payment, nor find the time to do your job, to pay for your "Winnings".

That is part of the curse of the Devil site, as your addiction gets worse and worse, you really think your condition is better.

By the way my winnings this week is only 3 fivers shipping tomorrow, a fiver of Pepin sampler, a fiver of Punch Rare corojo and RP 1990. Ohhh I'm so lucky!

Re: Is it an Oxymoron?

It is winning and here is why... I went into a B&M today for the first time since I got back. Not to buy cigars but I needed butane. So I walked into the humidor just to see what they had and I could not believe the prices. Then I started thinking about how if it wasnt for cigarbid, cigarmonster.com, and joecigar.com, that I pretty much wouldnt have the stash I have now. 90% of my cigars came from those sites. I know alot of people say support your B&M but its just hard to with the taxes that have been passed and everything else and now that I have the selection I have at home I just need butane and other accessories, maybe a hygrometer if one of mine breaks for some reason.

But what I am getting at is they do save you ALOT of money, especially if you are smart and use c-h-i-m-p.com many of my lot wins are the minimums on c-h-i-m-p.com all it requires is patience.

I consider it being a "Winner Loser",,,,the more I win the more I lose.

I look at is a winning because I won the opportunity to be the one to put said sticks to a smokey death. Truthfully, it's all about keeping the bidding going though.

There is no worse feeling than "winning" an auction because you are the sucker who decided to pay the maximum dollar for the a given product that several people wanted.

Re: Is it an Oxymoron?

It is a WIN, especially when you can get a super low price on a great stick.

I agree that you can't beat the prices for the 15 sticks I mentioned I am paying $50 bucks, which is what I would have paid for any one of just 5 of these sticks at a B & M.

But it also puts me back up over 200 sticks... I only smoke twice a week, so I am down to about a 2 year supply and still I am on the site seeing what I can't live without. I don't need them, I won't get to them this year, but I still have to bid because I ship weekly, so it is only 50 cents shipping on my next winning bid. I agree it is more like Winning Losing.
