Certainly, the stronger blends will hang in there longer. OWRM, The Edge, and Cuban Blends come to mind. The mild stuff like the Decade and the Vintages wont. Im just stating that as a general rule, RP's, like most NC's should get the torch sooner than later. It also depends greatly on the smoker's palate. I prefer a stronger, bolder smoke, so I tend not to age NC's. For me, anything under 2yrs is a nap.
I wanna say the oldest NC's I have in my humi are 18-20mos. The plan is for none of them to live to see x-mas. Opus X is ever the exception.

Sour, rancid taste indicates humidity too high. Check for mould.
