Question Mouthwash / Toothpaste?

So the fiance's only complaint at this point is after a cigar my breath is less than desirable. Is there a way to combat this? I have tried brushing my teeth and using Listerine but it doesn't seem to help, at least not enough.

I don't so much mind it except the next morning sometimes.

Help me make for a happy wife so I can have a happy life .

Re: Mouthwash / Toothpaste?

I have heard that this works really well.

I don't have to worry about it as the missus does not mind. Of course when I am done smoking for the day I brush and use Listerine. I have found that if you actually gargle with the Listerine instead of just rinse it does a better job.

Re: Mouthwash / Toothpaste?

I agree that gargling over just rinsing is big. 3 times a day. I also go thru about a tin and a half of Altoids a week. I have tried a bunch of other stuff, but nothing really seems to work. I guess the only real solutions is to just have a cigar in my mouth all of the time.

Re: Mouthwash / Toothpaste?

Gargling definitely does more and don't forget to brush your tongue way in the back.

Re: Mouthwash / Toothpaste?

We focus on brushing and flossing our teeth because theyre what rots if we dont. However, there are several hundred times more bacteria and oder causing deposits in and on the epithelial tissues than on the teeth. In addition to thoroughly brushing/scraping the tongue, it's important to hit the roof and insides of the cheeks, then rinse and gargle. Try brushing with baking soda.

Brush your teeth and tongue with Arm & Hammer baking soda and peroxide toothpaste. Much better than the standard stuff, and doesn't absolutely destroy your palette.

While she isn't a fan she isn't mad at me nor has she forbid it. Changing might not work out so well! It might just get worse! haha
