OK, I'm Cheap ....

I'm cheap. Everyone who knows me says so. My idea of splurging on a cigar is buying something in the 8 to 10 dollar range. I've never had a cigar that would be classified as super premium. So here's my problem. Tomorrow night I'm meeting some guys at our favorite B&M for a smoke and a drink and for once I don't want to be the only one smoking a cigar that smells bad. I need recommendations. I prefer a maduro or rosado wrapper, something in the medium to full range with spice, a good 90 minute smoke in a plus 50 ring size. Price is no object ...... well, up to $25 .... like I said, I'm cheap.

From what I have read on here (and there) Cali prices are way high.

You should be able to pick up most any Tatuaje or illusione for under $15.00. I love both of these lines.

Andy's list about runs the spectrum, I'd add the Padron 80th Maduro to that - but expect to pay around $30.00 for it!

Wow...I wouldn't say $10 is cheap. There are threads on here with people talking about $0.50 sticks!

I went with a Padron 1964. Gawd that was good, burned the hell out of my finger because I just didn't want to give up on it. On the way out I picked up a few assorted sticks for my humi when the guy asked if I had tried the La Flor Dominicana Salomon, and having had more scotch than is good for me, I said throw one of those in the bag too. Got home and found out i paid $30 for it. Yikes! Anyone know what I just bought? Can't find a review for it anywhere.

Cigars are one things I dont like to cheap out on for sure.. but I do like to bargain hunt online and if you are patient you can get good deals... and can get some killer sticks for cheap, but now you know the difference..

The one I have is not a torpedo shape and has a band that looks like 2 palm trees over 2 eyes and red lips. The background of the band is white and says " La Flor Domincana" in small script on the lower left side. The rest of the band is covered with small multi colored leaves. (Wish I had a camera.)

I found out what it is, it's misidentified on my receipt. It's from a limited edition with box and wrappers designed by artist Ruben Toledo to raise money for El Museo de Barrio in New York. Anyone had one of these?

Sounds like you've got the Mi Barrio by Don Pepin??? I haven't had one but I'm sure that's what you've got.
