Re: Feel the Burn

This is good, Bill... I am also a quarter to a half inch guy, for no other reason than it just looks unsightly. Now, when smoking on the beach, I will put up with quite a bit more maybe one half to three quarters of an inch. Usually it straightens itself out after rotating it in relation to the wind.

Re: Feel the Burn

Keeping the burn even is part of the experience.
For me, a good cigar is a time to relax and enjoy a few simple pleasures. Usually with a nice adult beverage to go along with it.
An unsightly burn is just not part of the plan for me.... lol

So true. Took me a while to figure this one out, as logic would say that putting it on top would give it more heat causing it to burn faster. It also helps if you keep rotating the cigar as you smoke (turn it every few puffs), as this will help prevent one side from burning slower.

Re: Feel the Burn

I usually don't let the cigar burn get to out of control, not more then 1/2". I notice a change in the taste of the cigar if the burn is to out of control. Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Feel the Burn

Yes i usually touvh it up because most of the taste is from the wrapper and if its not burning even then i am not getting all the flavor.
