Re: Feel the Burn

I give it an inch to self correct, assuming a usual =>50RG. Smaller than 50, maybe 3/4". Just an uneven angle usually doesnt alarm me, but if there's a tongue of wapper and binder, I knock it back.

Re: Feel the Burn

with my preference being smaller ring gauge cigars, i choose to correct the burn quickly... i cant stand looking at a lopsided burn... it really bothers me and takes away from the enjoyment of the smoke

Also, contrary to popular belief, if you turn the slow side facing down it will often correct the burn.

Re: Feel the Burn

Depends what im smoking. If its a Brocatus........i could care less how its burning cause im usually mowing or picking up dog rockets (the soft smelly kind). If its a really good premium like a DPG or a DCM im gonna keep that baby burnin perfect. They usually burn perfect anyhow but there is a rare occasion.

Re: Feel the Burn

A bad burn does not bug me that much

It takes a lot to make me hit it with the torch again.
A good 1-1/4.
So in other words I hardly ever have to do it

Re: Feel the Burn

Depends on what I'm wearing ...

If I'm in work clothes, I'll let that sucker go forever and not worry about a piece of hot wrapper dropping off, but if I'm wearing a suit, I clean it up after about 1/2"...

Re: Feel the Burn

If im bored and inside (not outside in the wind) i might touch it up if it gets past 1/2" off. I use matches alot inside so touching up is almost impossible. Hard to control the flame on a stick.

Re: Feel the Burn

It just depends for me, most of the bad burns are my own fault from lighting LOL. I will let it prob get a little over an inch.

Good poll, Bill. I'm a 1/4 to 1/2 kind of guy.

Yeah, I don't know why, but it really bugs me too. I often feel like saying, 'Bad cigar, Bad, very very Bad'.
