Re: Wet and Dry?

Just means whether the humidity is high or low. A cigar that is too humid (wet) will often taste sour and have many burn issues while a cigar that has dried out (dry) will often be harsh, hot and have lost a lot of flavor due to the natural oils of the leaf drying up.

I think this is probably what they were talking about....

Wet = overhumidified, the tobacco can taste bitter and often the cigar will have a bad burn

Dry= underhumidified, the tobacco may have lost some of it's natural oils thus losing some of of it flavors, the tobbaco can also burn hot.

The trick is finding the right spot, usually between 65-70% humidity, remember new cigars are often wet or over humidified and will usually benefit from a little time in your humi before smoking them.
