Had the same thing happen to me with a CAO Brazila last night....every few puffs the wrapper would crack a little bit more. In addition, I had trouble keeping it lit. Then again though, it was right from the B&M, so it had zero time to balance out.

I had another one of these yesterday. Perdomo Lot 21 straight from the B&M, blew up immediately.

Had a RP signature do this to me last week...had been at 65% for at least a month! Oh well..

I think some of them are just rolled to tight. Sucks when ya lose a ten dollar stick tho...

Next time a premium splits open on me, I'm thinking about putting it out and taking it back to the B&M.

What was the ambient humidity? If you are smoking a cigar stored at 65% - 70% in 90% humidity there is a very good chance you will get some swelling and cracking. Especially with the thinner wrappers such as Connecticuts.

Being down South, I run into this problem during the heat and humidity of the summer. Just every once in awhile though.
