It's fine to keep your cigars in tubes, IMO. The humidity will still move in and out. Some people take their cigars out, some take the caps off or just loosen them. It's really a matter of personal preference.

They stored them at the factory, on the boat, in the truck and at the store in the tube, so there's nothing wrong with keeping it that way in the humidor. The tubes aren't air-tight.

On the other hand, I do not have unlimited humidor space. So I take them out.

Yeah, I concur also. In the tubes is fine, unless you wanna make space for more cigars. I like to take the caps off mine, though, before I put em to sleep.

I always leave them in the tube, with the cap on...but i have lots of room in my humidor...that needs to change

I love them tubes, They travel so well are protected and just way cool for long term storage. I will sometime pay a premium to get tubes. I also agree they breath fine and age nicely!

I tend to hold onto the tubes, even if I don't have a cigar in them. They're a great way to transport cigars.

Re: Do I store my tubed cigars in their tubes?

If the humidity can get out, it can get back in. I don't see a problem with leaving them in the tubes, i always have, and they have always been fine.

Ive got about 10 punch gustos in their tubes in my humidor, and i once took one out to smoke and got called to work, so i sat it back in the humi near the tubed ones and about 3 months later smoked it.

It tasted exactly the same as the tubed ones i had smoked before. Same draw, same feel, same everything. Made no difference on mine. But my results aren't exactly scientific.

Re: Do I store my tubed cigars in their tubes?

My own experience is that loosening the seal helps with humidification. I store in the tube but "uncork" them first. It's nice having the tube if you're one of those people that gets into your humidor a lot. A little protection is good when you're swapping/moving/rearranging sticks.
