Newbie needs Non Cuban advice
I am in the unfortunate
position of only ever smoking cuban cigars with the exception of one Opus X #4I love the paratagas cigars and also Punch Churchill's, Montecristo #2 and Cuaba Piramides LE 2008. So given the above preferences what are your nc recommendations for me to try ? |

There are thousands of non-Cuban brands out there so I would suggest trying as many of them as you can.

Re: Newbie needs Non Cuban advice
Roger that! Cigars International has these great sampler packs and there are usually a few great ones mixed in with a lot of good ones and only a few so-so ones. It's a terrific way to find out what you like.
I'd recommend the same sticks Madurolover mentioned (esp. the Padron Anniversaries and Tatuajes), plus checking out some of the "boutique" and "don Pepin" sampler packs... Then go nuts with a couple of mega-samplers to expose your palate to a whole bunch of new stuff, and you should be ready to make at least a couple of box purchases after going through all those... Hope I helped you out a lil!

Re: Newbie needs Non Cuban advice
Oh boy the non-Cuban world! We'll lucky for you, as mentioned already there are a vast variety of sticks to choose from.
Couple that come to mind that are some of my favorites are: La Gloria Cubana Series R #4, CAO Brazilia, CAO Italia, Ashton VSG (hard to find these days but an excellent sun grown wrapper). Cheers, Brad |
