Need some opinions?

I love trying various cigars as I'm sure most of you do, I have my daily favorites but enjoy mixing new cigars into the rotation. I'm listing some cigars I'm thinking of trying in hopes that if any of you have any info or insight on these brands you could share. I like to try and have as much info as I can before diving head first.

Tambor: maduro

Taino

La primodora: maduro

Omar ortez

Da vinci

Java

Diablo

Actually had my first Da Vinci yesterday, while it was not a stellar knock your socks off cigar I found it to be a decent to good cigar. I had the church hill and I picked mine up through JR's auction a few month's back for ~$2 a stick

Don't mean this to sound demeaning, but haven't heard of any of the ones you mention wanting to try. Try something from Oliva, Padron, or Tatuaje to set a benchmark for a quality NC smoke.

I have tried some olivias( flor de olivia is one of my dailys ) but not the other two. I know of them, just haven't gotten around to trying them I must admit that since I've been in this game there seems to be a certain amount of known cigars that everyone knows about and talks about. Then there are the obscure cigars, those are the dogs I hunt.

If you're new then try the well known/ good stuff first.

Re: Need some opinions?

The Omar Ortez is a VERY smooth tasting cigar. I haven't tried any of the others listed but I have wanted to try a Da Vinici.

tampahumidor.com has some great prices on singles of some of those you listed, and you get free shipping on all singles.

Re: Need some opinions?

By the way Omar Ortez is owned by Altadis. And my b&m sales this like hot cakes.

Re: Need some opinions?

I have two Diablo's in my humidor, though I've never tried them. Aren't they a Famous Smoke Shop house brand?

Edit: just did a search. Looks like it isn't one of Famous's, but it looks like they must have bought up most of the remaining stock. I might have to pull them out and try one.

I've tried a lot of the "good stuff" and still continue to. But I like to throw in unknowns into the rotation.
