Thinking of buying a box of one or the other. Can't seem to find reasonably priced singles of each so I'm asking for advice.

What you guys think?

Padron 2000 madie 100 percent. My go to cigar. Cheap and perfect for the price.

I'll second the Padron 2000. Of course I would choose anything Padron as a first choice. I like the Oliva V, but not near as much as a Padron 2000.

Both are good smokes. For singles you might look here.

Padron for sure. Great taste and one of the most consistent cigars out there

P.S. never take the advice of a Habs fan

The 2000 is the only one I dislike. Were it any other, Id say it was a tough choice. Not here. Oliva V!

My vote is for the Olivia V. The last Padron 2000 maduro I had tasted like cod. But then again, I had gotten it from Thompson so that probably has something to do with it.

This is the most sensible post so far.

Do you think you'll regret not getting the other one? I doubt it.
That being said, I didn't care for the last Oliva V I had. It was all leather and salt. The very first Oliva V made me wish I had a thousand of them. I haven't had a Padron 2000.

Hummm....I like em both! I'd buy a box of 2000's, and a couple of fivers of the V's. (Actually I'd probably buy a box of each, truth be told!)

Re: Oliva Serie V or Padron 2000 Maddie

I have both
The Padrons are a "go to anytime" smoke
I don't see the hype in the "V"
If I were you I wold get the 3000
It is a much better. more consistent smoke
I have 2 boxes of 3000 maddy
and
2 boxes of 3000 Nat.

Of all the "V's", I think the Longdale "sp" is the best of the bunch

Just my .02
