Anyone recommend something mild and inexpensive?

woot first post! I've been lurking for a week now and me and the search button have been making sweet love ever since...

But, I'm having a graduation party next saturday and I need something relatively inexpensive and mild since #1 95% of the people there won't know a good cigar from wet cardboard and #2 I don't want people puking their brains out since this will be their annual cigar.... As for me and my best friend, I splurged and we've got some Padron 1964's lined up.

Thanks!

ps- who greased the slope?

If you can get your hands on some Helix 550's, mild not nasty and pretty cheap if I recall. I've smoked them in the morning with coffee. And they come in tubos so you get a little something to remember the event. I hope those 64's are maddies BTW.

Macanudo Crystal Cafe's are also nice and come in glass tubes. Plus, a lot of people who've never smoked before still may have heard of Macanudo and think you know what you're doing. They're a little too mild for me now, but that's what I started with.

Macanudos are solid but Gisperts are tasty, mild, and very cheap.

Griffins or Ashton are good, as well as Davidoff's. Remember, a crappy cigar tastes crappy to everyone - nonsmokers alike. The full flavor is not what makes people sick, the heavy nicotine does.

Congrat's on your Graduation.

These are the smokes I recommend to people when they come into the shop and ask for a mild smoke. Great Flavor and mild. This will not disappoint your guests and might start some down the slope.

Re: Anyone recommend something mild and inexpensive?

Macanudos blow, they have no flavor and they are way too expensive for what they provide. If you are gonna spend the money on a Macanudo, buy a Griffin. Gisperts are good solid mild stick that is inexpensive, as are Nat Shermans. There is alot that is inexpensive on the market, but the question is what can I find that's mild and flavorful.

Re: Anyone recommend something mild and inexpensive?

Cusano 18 was my daughters first cigar - and she enjoyed it (have to keep an eye on them now). Easy on the wallet - $2 to $4 depending on where you get them from.

Re: Anyone recommend something mild and inexpensive?

I had some friends over that were not regular smokers for a card game and cigars night. They enjoyed some Flor de Oliva's I had in the humidor and the price on a bundle of those wont set you back very much.

Gotta agree with you. Both Macs I've had tasted like stale ping pong balls.

Fonseca, if they're in your price range. Otherwise I'll second the motion for Gispert. If you're going cheaper than that, IT Cameroon Legend on Cbid.
