Can this cigar be revived?

My mom just gave me a Cohiba Lanceros that she bought for my pops in 2000 in Jamaica. So for 6 years this thing has been sitting in non ideal conditions and its showing. The wrapper has become a bit veiny and there are a few minor cracks... hopefully not big enough to have smoke leak out of them if being smoked. My humi is in the mail and should be ready to accept cigars in two weeks. Do you guys think this thing can be revived? I'm thinking another 4 years in the humi would make this one hell of a smoke, provided it's not too far gone.

It's a 99% chance it is fake, and 4 years is too long stored dry even if it is real.

Re: Can this cigar be revived?

You can give it a good ol' try but you should probably just throw it away.

Hrmm... does Jamaica have a rep for fake 'Cubans?'

This thing still smells amazing so I'm inclined to be the optimist about it's authenticity haha.

Thumbs down Re: Can this cigar be revived?

Whether it's real or not, is not an issue at this time. After that long, the cigar is trash. All the oils will have dried up and with that, all the flavors are gone!

Toss it and move on!

Re: Can this cigar be revived?

My advice: Put a pic up of it (for no particular reason I just wana see), and put it in a cool dark place until you get humi going. Throw it in for a few years and light than son-bitch up. It may just go up in smoke so have a camera ready I would like to see that as well. In 2 year If you post a pic. of a flaming Cuban I'm gunna die!! DO IT !!!!

I suggest you smoke it, and if you like it, Stogie59 has a lead on a box you might like.
