Flavored and Non Flavored Mixing in Humi!!!!!

I just put all my cigars in my new humi today. I have a 150 ct humi. I have 20 sweet cigars in once half in the bottom, then i the other half i have 50 sour apple cigars. In the top there are another 2 sections. Fisrt section i have all Kahlua cigars and in the second i have 5 helix 5 counterfit cubans and 1 Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature. The only ones that are unwrapped are the cubans and they arnt with any of the flavored ones. And the flavored ones have the Cello on them and are seperated! So will they mix or wont they? Am i save with how i am storing them? I shink they will be fine because they are divided and they have cellophane on them! So tell me what you think! Thanks.

This might be a better idea.... get a humi. Just for your sweet and flavored cigars... Or you can always send the Fuente to me and your all set

Re: Flavored and Non Flavored Mixing in Humi!!!!!

Boy - where you from in Indiana - former Hoosier here so I know you should know better -

Okay so listen - here is what you do. First go and get one of those coolers you have sitting around. Next go to your humi - and grab that 1 Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature that you have and hold it in your right hand. With your left hand, take everything left in the humidor, all of those perfume flavored sticks and toss them in the cooler - shut the lid.
Now take that 1 Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature that's in your right hand and place it back in the humi. Shut the lid.
Now everything is in the correct place. Oh yeah - put a humidifier in the cooler so that you are the proud owner of a coolerdor.

Now in the future when you get a new cigar - smell it. If it smells like something your girlfriend would wear it goes in the cooler - otherwise it goes in the humidor - got it?

Re: Flavored and Non Flavored Mixing in Humi!!!!!

Some things just don't mix well and flavored/infused stogies mixed in the humi with non flavored/infused stogies is one of them.

Live and learn but hopefully they haven't been in there too long.

Re: Flavored and Non Flavored Mixing in Humi!!!!!

This procedure should sort you out:
  • Grab a trash can and place it next to your humi.
  • Pick out the hemmingway.
  • Go out to the deck, fire the thing up and enjoy it.
  • Walk inside to the humi.
(At this point you will probably want to open the humi and throw all the flavoured sticks in the trash)
  • Take advantage of the close proximity of the trash can, go on right ahead, don't resist the urge to trash the flavours.
  • Get yourself onto Cbid or into a B&M and stock up on some more good smokes like the Hemmingway.

Give him time, gang, give him time. More than likely it's a phase like many of us have been through. Once he dries out behind the ears with some quality sticks he'll know what to do.

Bimmer, you like what you like and don't change for anybody but yourself. Explore non-flavored cigars at your leisure and go from there, but FOR SAKE OF ALL HUMANITY KEEP THOSE FLAVORED CIGARS FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE STANDARD SMOKES! - You're scaring me...
