New smoker, new cigars, which one first?

I went to my local B&M today and picked out a nice assortment of cigars. Here's what I brought home:

Alec Bradley Special Blend
National Brand 1942
Baccarat 1871 Dolce Far Niente
The Griffin's
CAO Golden Churchill
La Fontana Vintage
Padron 1964 Anniversary Series
Ashton Classic Corona

Not to sure on all the exact sizes. Any other recommendations? Time to smoke!

Take care,
Louis

Re: New smoker, new cigars, which one first?

Just finished an attempt to smoke the Baccarat 1871 Dolce Far Niente. The smoke was very bitter, and the sweetness of the wrapper didn't complement the flavor of the tobacco at all. The room note was not very good, almost skunky. Not the worst skunky cigar I have smelled, but definitely up there.

I'm going to pack a bowl of orange & mint shisha to get the taste out of my mouth!

If you want a real challenge-use top25cigar's ranking lists (top sub-$6 cigars or top 25 overall) and see if you can smoke them all.

Re: New smoker, new cigars, which one first?

Great recommendations given so far.

Reading the reviews can be helpful.

I keep a notebook to write down a few thoughts about most of the new cigars being smoked. This is helpful to me because I tend to forget my impressions of all but the best ones and the worst ones.
