To all you Pepin lovers

Lately I have been spending some time browsing at the CigarKing website, just to see what I can see. Man I tell you, Pepin must live at that place, or at least he keeps a lot of his stuff there
They have several varieties and brands of his smokes over there, little heard of outside of the Tatuajes, the Cabaiguans, and the Don Pepin Blue Labels.
I never realized the influence and touch this guy has had on so many different brands of smokes.
The prices are reasonable, and there are many different samplers available over there too. After surfing for several days now just to find other online dealers of Pepin Garcia cigars, that is practically the only one I have found that has such a variety of Pepin cigars. If you are curious and haven't been over there, I recommend the place: www.cigarking.com

Re: To all you Pepin lovers

I had my first Pepin last Friday (Blue Label) and wasn't too impressed. It wasn't smooth, though it was definitely a full bodied smoke. I'll try another one down the road so that I keep my mind open but won't be dropping a lot of cash on these anytime soon. (Of course, I don't drop a lot of cash on anything )

I rank Pepin cigars (blue label, jj series, tatuaje and padilla) right up there with some of the best cigars I've tried so far.

DonP,
Pepin rolls for CigarKing quite often and sometimes goes in with them on special blend releases.

Pepin is also at the CigarKing in Scottsdale, AZ quite often and does rolling events there. I missed the last one but bought a 10 pack of the Habana Leon's he rolled during the event.

My advice, try as many of his blends as you can... they are amazing! I personally prefer the Habana Leon and the Havana Soul. Both are excellent and full of flavor. Watch for the kick on the Habana Leon's though!

Re: To all you Pepin lovers

Every now and then this vendor offers Pepin samplers. I've tried several different cigars this way and they are some of my favorites.

If you call them, they may have samplers available or will put one together for you. The one I got had ten cigars (two each of five different brands).

I am getting away from many NC's but I still enjoy Pepin blends. I am having a Habana Leon Robusto right now as a matter of fact (not too strong yet, at least compared to the blue labels). The Taste of Pepin sampler is a good place to start on the cigarking site.

Hey Dustin, you want a kick, I have a Habana Leon in the A size!

Re: To all you Pepin lovers

I've had a few of the Nacionales Ws. It was good but not one that stands out ,for me, like some of the others. That's about all I remember.

The Tatuajes and Miami 8/11 speak for themselves. Haven't had the Cabaiguan.

Of the lower priced brands, I've really enjoyed the Habana Leon, Havana Soul, Blue Label, and Serie JJ. Hirsh y Garcia was also very good. I've got a few others in the box that I haven't tried yet.

For me, the bottom line is...they're all good!

I have one of those sitting in the humi right now too Have yet to smoke it yet. Bought a 10 pack when Pepin was rolling them last year, next visit he makes I'm requesting a Salomones size LOL

I smoke 98% Habanos but Pepin will always be in my NC lineup.

Re: To all you Pepin lovers

Anybody have a list of Pepin cigars (I know I probably should do a search first).

What I know for sure:

Tatuaje (regular, havana VI, series P)
Cabaiguan
Don Pepin Blue Label
Don Pepin Series JJ
El Rey de Los Habanos (bundles?)
Habana Leon

The guy at my local B&M says padilla miami's are rolled in Pepin's factory in Miami, however, they are not really Pepin cigars, they are Padilla cigars - do you guys agree?

So far I have at least one of each of those in my humidors and am always looking to try more Pepin's. I really like the tatuajes, the cabaiguans are a little too mild for me these days. Haven't gotten a chance to try the others yet, but plan to in the near future.
