Re: Refining Your Pallette

Some good info here on palate refining. My palate made a turn for the better when I started brewing beer a few years ago. Once you start creating your own beer you start to focus on the different flavors attributed with various hops, grains, etc. This has definitely been a boon for my budding cigar palate. It can still be difficult for me to determine some flavors yet, but I'm sure it will come with time

LOL, I have felt the same way. And usually when I figure out it's not lit, I know I am talking too much

Re: Refining Your Pallette

Once in a while I get lucky and pair a cigar with something that enhances the flavors. Just this weekend I paired a Padron 1926 with a good cup of coffee, and suddenly when I took a draw I got the exact same taste from the cigar, that made me go' uhm coffee!' .. but the best I advice I got from this post when I read it the first time, was to smoke slower, that really makes a difference .. all of a sudden bittersweet chocolate and nuts could be tasted, and now coffee - my palate is getting more and more refined
