Question Boxes in Humidor - Closed or Open?

Maybe this is a silly question but I don't think I've ever seen it discussed.

Do folks store the boxes of sticks in their humidor closed (as I seem to see in most pictures) or do some people crack them open so that they are better exposed to the regulated environment?

Personally, I prop all my boxes open with random pieces of cedar so that I have one large environment that is all maintained the same as opposed to several smaller environments.

Re: Boxes in Humidor - Closed or Open?

This was discussed a while ago, and I remember one recommendation made was to remove at least one of the sticks in each box to allow for better circulation, and to also leave the boxes closed.
