10 inch cigar?

Hey i was wondering, i went into a nice cigar shop the other day and bought a 10" Flor de Olivia. Is this a good cigar, or did i waste my 8 bucks on a cigar thats just for looks. i dont know much about good cigars, as i am just starting to smoke them. Ive an ok Drew Estate, A Vintage Rocky Patel, and yet to smoke this 10 incher, a Cifuentes Y Cia, and a Camacho. Are any of these good cigars?

If you like them, they are good cigars. Oliva makes good cigars, just make sure you have 3 hours to spend on that monster.

And make sure you don't light up when it's real humid out. I tried smoking an A size Habana Leon out on my back porch one rainy night, and because of all that nice humid air I was drawing in, it plugged up solid.

May I suggest you set aside the three hours immediately following a large dinner

Re: 10 inch cigar?

Agreed with all of the above. I have some CAO Maduro's in an A size. Bought a box. Damn tasty but my goodness I almost NEVER have 3 hours to smoke a stogie. I still had a good 5 inches left when I called 'no joy' and gave up the ghost! FDO's have a real good rep around here so I don't see where you could wrong. But plan in advance since you won't want to waste the experience.

Re: 10 inch cigar?

That one should be great. If you have a punch put 3 holes in it to get a good draw. The Rocky Patel Vintage is a great stick. All Rockys are good in my opinion.

No doubt.
Don't often find the time anymore to do one but man, nothing beats the joy of lighting up a Monte A and seeing the monster so far from your laps to light it. Just tough to find three hours of bliss to be able to smoke it.

That will be a nice smoke. When I smoke a stogie that long I always through out about 3 inches as the tase gets ronchy.
