Freeze drying cigars

I was thinking about storing some cigars for the long-term. I understand that placing them in an air tight tupper ware and putting them in the freezer will allow one to store one's cigars for years on end. Is this true, or is there more to it?

humidor....no freezer, humidor. ~70% humidity ~70 degrees. or you can give them to me for 'safe' storage.

For long term storage you may consider a RH of 65 and a temp of 65. Rick has some wonderful sticks stored this way.
