A gift is a gift, if you choose to wrap it thats your choice. If the box is a dead give away as to what it is, I will usually mask the shape.

They are Juan Lopez Epicure #1...got em in a deal from Moon. They got a 92 in CA in 2005. He smokes JR Alts, but he enjoys premium cigars with me from time to time.

Thanks for the input...I don't feel so bad now. I'll probably hook him up with an Anejo, being Christmas and all. But if he reads these boards somehow, I guess I'm SOL!

Personally I don't see what the problem is - it's a gift, it's Christmas - why not wrap them?

I don't see a problem with wrapping them, it's the thought that counts.

Wrap them and give them.

A cigar smoker likes getting cigars as presents.

Wrap them and give them with pride!!!

The "act" of "unwrapping" a gift is kind of like having a sinfull dessert after dinner. It's to be SAVORED!!!!!

Alternatively, if you got them from a store with a very nice gift bag, I might use that instead.

I would go with a gift bag personally, but any wrapping should be fine....... the reason I give gift bags is guys usually end up with trinkets and its a nice way for them to get evething home.

Not tacky at all. Adds to the fun of gift giving.

Cigars are always a welcome gift, wrapped or not!

Tacky?

All I get are shirts and sweaters from the wife's family that I never wear.

If somebody actually gave me a box of gars for Christmas, I wouldn't care if it was wrapped in fish paper. I'd hump his leg.

That's a fine gift, wrapped or nekid.

Tacky my petunia!

I don't think that would be something I would care to see, especially on Christmas morning.

Should you or shouldn't you doesn't really matter. The question is will he share the cigars once he's opened them?
