Hey I didn't get any, wrapped or unwrapped, for christmas despite numerous hints to my wife (I think she is on to what I spend on my cigar "hobby" myself.)

I am sure he was happy either way.

That is a lovely and thoughtful gift; perpetuating a bad and unhealthy habit that is sure to lower his life expectancy...

Seriously though, gifts should be wrapped as unwrapping gifts and the unknown beneath them is half the fun. You are thoughtful to give a gift that he'll enjoy and that is never tacky.

Thanks for all the support guys. After my father in law opened it, I could tell by the way he looked at me that he was shocked at the thoughfulness of a box of cigars. He was very happy with this gift, so it all worked out well!
