Storage Question: Some cigars harsh in 2nd humidor

In my second humidor, a small one, where the humidity drops below 65% sometimes (around 60-63%), I noticed a few of the cigars I smoked there have become harsher. Also, some of the wrappers cracked a little when smoking.

I suspect it's because the humidity is too low? How to fix this up? I'm in the process of getting more beads to fix it up.

Definately get more beads, I have found that if your cigars are stored below 65% they do taste bitter and will crack when cutting and smoking. I keep mine between 65 & 70 % area, usung 65% beads, the more beads the better IMHO. I use 2 containers of beads, 1 mostly wet the other dry and so far all is well with my cigars. Agreed. I like cigars best between 65 - 70%. Lower than that tends to taste like paper to me.

Possible to fix my smokes still though by bringing back RH up again? Or are these dry sticks goners?

I would put them back in the humi where the other cigars are. Let them sit a few weeks and they should be fine.

Man, thanks for the great advice guys. I was stressing over losing those smokes for a while. This is a great board!
