Vendor Ratings?

does anyone know a site for cigar vendor ratings? there's a whole bunch of vendors listed in the stickies and who post in the Cigar Specials & Retailer Reports forum, but was wondering if there was any centralized place we could look for everyone's experiences.

tried doing a search, but all i could find is the stickies with dozens of vendors listed. seems like the only other way to figure out who's good and who isn't is to either try them out or to search by specific vendor and read all the threads with their name in them.

There has been some discussion on Non Cuban vendors e.g. vendors that don't sell any cuban products at all. Rating or open discussion of the cuban sources is a big no no. I believe that there is at least one thread that does discuss various web based domestic vendors. Vendor Links and Online cigars and Best/Cheapest place to buy cigars online? all come to mind.

yeah, wasn't looking for cuban vendors. just looking for vendors in general. we've got a whole slurry of vendors in stickies and people chime in about vendors, but i was hoping there'd be some central list or site where each one is rated by experience. otherwise, i could just go with whoever is cheapest and try my luck.

There have been a few threads concerning vendors and who uses which ones, but I haven't seen anything where each vendor is "rated by experience".

I would personally go by recommendations from those who post here...who knows better about the quality of vendors and about their experiences they've had with them in the past.

I think it's important to compare prices as well as quality of the product, and vendor customer relations (for example: Do they respond positively to emails and phone calls? Do they guarantee delivery? )

I have personally used Holts, CigarKing, Cigar International, and Serious. I would recommend any of those to you. Others speak positively about JRs as well as several others.

If you are not sure and want to try a particular vendor, you might want to start with a small order and see how it works out for you.

thanks, lockhart. maybe this will become a weekend project for me and i can fire up a site for cigar vendor reviews. i think it'd be helpful for the new BOTL/SOTL, such as myself.

Also wanted to add that Jon (j6ppc) has listed some good threads to see what others here think of certain vendors they have used. Seems like a good place to start looking.
