Packaging Issues for Padilla Miami Fixed?

Anyone buy a box of Padilla Miami's recently? I was wondering if the packaging issues were fixed. A while back I read, the cigars weren't too tightly packed so some got damaged in the box.

I've recieved several of their boxes with no damage, but just found out that they have changed their boxes with the last order. Could be in answer to your question.

Someone needs to tell Ashton that they're packing their VSG Tres Mystiques way tooo tightly, they dent the sides of each cigar!

Hmm, I had not noticed that w/the Tres Mystiques, but know that you mention it, they were quite tight in there. Not much damage in my box though.

My VSG's were packed very tightly, I couldn't believe how they got them all in there without having any of the wrappers become torn or cracked.

I pulled out out and I tried to fit my finger in there, they only left enough room to fit only half of what the original size is.

Could the product have swelled with changes in temp?

Sound almost like Cuban-style box pressing. Pepin has a new stick in the works that will be box-pressed like that. Gives you something to look forward to.

Cheers!

Re: Packaging Issues for Padilla Miami Fixed?

Generally I think tight packed boxes are still fine. You just need to be careful how you take 'em out. Usually you grab 'em by the head vs. the foot, otherwise you might damage the smoke. For a tight packed box at least you know they won't shift during shipping.
