Re: Where to buy 858 Sungrown?

I see no problem with paying over MSRP for something you want whatsoever. I don't get why everyone gets hung up on it. Gouging is one thing but if you really want something, what's an extra $5-$10 in the big picture? These cigars are hard to come by and some of them are close to perfection. I agree with what Rockstar said about smoking some that were unimpressive because it's happened to me. Thing is when you smoke one that is on, it's worth every bit of $11.

All of us smoke cigars and a good portion of us would also be considered collectors. My point? If a few dollars over MSRP is a deterrent this may be the wrong lifestyle. These cigars were produced years ago. (Although I swear I heard about a release in 04 or 05) Anyhow, assuming we are talking about 6 year old cigars, MSRP would not apply anymore. An asking price of $10-$12 I feel is very reasonable. I wouldn't fret at dropping $200+ on a box of these right now. AM I a sucker? That's open for debate I just don't think in terms of MSRP. I think about the market value and what it's worth to me.

I will say the ones I smoked that were "on" were worth a helluva a lot more than $4. It's hard to put a price on some things.

Disclaimer- taste is subjective and if you overpay for these cigars I assume no liability

All of mine were bought at Casa Fuente for 11 bucks a stick. I know thats way more than MSRP, but my logic is that I pay 11 dollars a stick for stuff like the Padron Annie's and I do hold this up there with it. I had my mom, dad, me, and my ex girlfriend all buying their limit.
